3. DIY Home Improvement High Five

Each weekend we try to do a bit here and there to improve our own home and this past weekend we started to plan for our master closet.

We will be using the PAX system from IKEA and these are the pieces we will be incorporating. We will keep you updated as we work through it!

4. Family and Friends Related High Five

Our kids have been begging to go camping since we can’t do much of anything else. Camping is not on my list of things I love to do but I may me able to be talked into renting a RV for a long weekend. Stay tuned for where this ends up…

5. General Related High Five

We started General Related High Five off by giving you a glimpse into our world as a family during this pandemic and each week we update you. We feel it’s important to document these stages for a couple of reasons.

  1. We’re all in this together and even though are stories are not the same, there are common themes that run through them. It’s important to know you’re not alone in this.

  2. We want to be able to read these back and document this time because it is high unprecedented.

So this weeks update…

Oh my goodness so it has been a crazy couple of weeks! Remember about a month ago we made the decision to put our youngest kiddos back into daycare? Well, they closed the daycare after multiple cases of the virus were spreading through the facility! So we have been in quarantine for 2 weeks and no sign of it on our end and luckily those that had it, got mild symptoms. Thank god for all of that!

What a whirlwind though! Scared of the unknown of whether our son would get it and then in turn we would and even worse that we would pass it onto my parents who we were in constant contact with. All of this happening while both Mitch and I juggle between our jobs and who has a conference call when.

Happy to note that quarantine is over for us and all 3 kids will be headed to daycare/summer camp come Monday. I do believe that this isn’t the last time we are going to be going through this however, unfortunately. With places opening their doors again I see this happening more and more. Fingers crossed we all stay healthy. We, as a family, intend to continue to keep our distance and play it safe.

Events playing out in Minneapolis…

I just want to say how saddened and disappointed I am about what happened to George Floyd and what has come of all of the events since then. We are currently a broken society and it is extremely worrisome…

Love you all! Stay healthy! See you next week!
