We cannot believe another year has come and gone and we are now looking into 2018! EH Design had a great year in 2017 and we are very much looking forward to what 2018 has in-store for us! We have several projects that we are still wrapping up that will be finished in 2018 and there are so many we have yet to reveal! In addition, our clientele is already looking around their homes and wishing for some changes to happen so they have reached out to us to do so. We could not be more excited to get started on these projects as well! Take a look through our blog to peruse our projects that we did reveal from 2017 by clicking here!
Commercial Project
Many of you are aware of our large commercial project that was underway in 2017. This dominated our design world for the majority of 2017 and is projected to be complete by late April! We are hoping to reveal it to you in May. We have only thus far posted images on social media but wanted out web audience to get a sneak peak into the makings of this building as well.
We could not be more excited about this project. It'll be a jaw dropper as it verges on residential design because of all the detail included. This is not your run of the mill commercial project - we are talking vaulted ceilings with beams, floor to ceiling black aluminum windows and doors, custom built-ins, unique lighting, intricate ceiling detail, hand picked tile, a fireplace, a gym, a golf simulator...the list goes on!
Check out the progress so far and mark your calendars for our May reveal. - we hope!
Commercial Project Inspiration
Get an Idea of the Look and Feel
The design and planning of this building has been amazingly fun! Starting with a little inspiration was key in kicking off this project. I knew from the very start we wanted to go with an elevated rustic feel. These clients are a a sub contracting framing company made up of primarily men as well as construction workers who come into the office straight from job sites so in addition to great looks, the materials need to be durable. I am so excited to see this project come together and to see our designs come to life. In the meantime, here is a bit of some elements you will be seeing within the building.

2018 Personal Projects at the Haugerud Home
In addition to our client projects, I usually have a running list of items I would like to take care of at home so we will be sharing these as well.
Items you may find on the list:
Open Shelving in the Kitchen
Update Gallery Wall
Open Shelving
I'm crazy about open shelving in the kitchen and have the perfect spot for it! Here is where they will be. While we decorated for the holidays, I kept thinking how amazing this spot would be for open shelving and of course I have always wanted to incorporate open shelving in my kitchen. It's the perfect spot!

Gallery Wall
We did a lot of gallery walls in 2017 and are sure we will do the same in 2018. Check out a couple we did in 2017 - Carver Gallery Wall and Osseo Main Living Space. Our stairway gallery wall below is the wall that we would like to overhaul. We love it as is but we need more space for our family photos and this is a huge wall that is begging to be filled!
