Design Process | Phase 2: Design

Congratulations, you have made it to the fun phase 2 – DESIGN! At this point, we now have every detail we need to know about your project and are ready to begin design because we have thoroughly navigated through Phase 1: Discovery. During this phase, the design is fully developed and the client gets a glimpse into the intentions for the spaces.

Within phase 2 there are several exciting steps, each designed to develop a comprehensive design plan for your spaces.

Setting a Schedule

If you are remodeling or building new, the contractors and/or builders will be setting a schedule of which we will follow. They will let us know when certain materials are due to them to keep things on track.

If you are redecorating your spaces, your timeline is largely determined by large and/or custom furniture pieces. The timeline for a decorating project is typically 3-6 months. This is also determined by the size of the project as well.

Based on the project, we will develop the following:

  • Design Boards/Mood Boards
  • Floor plans & Elevations
  • Selections
  • Extended pricing details built off budgeted numbers

We will provide initial drafts of all of the above and work through iterations of each until the client is 100% satisfied with the design before moving to production and purchasing.
