We have another reveal from our Chanhassen Project and this time we are revealing the Powder Room! This may be a small space but it packs a punch with the simple changes we made. It doesn't take a lot to update a space like this but simple changes can make a big difference in bringing it up to a more modern look and feel. Check out our small powder room reveal below!
This powder room is on the main level of the house and sits right off the entry so naturally we wanted to update this space along with the rest of the main level. You can see the before pictures close to the end of the post to get a full grasp on the transformation.

It's so hard to capture such a small space but I think we got just about every angle! 😉
We kept the entire main level very neutral and light throughout (Family Room, Kitchen, and Entry) with pops of navy's and reds so we decided to go bold in this small space and use Sherwin Williams Sea Serpent 7615. This color is so beautiful and rich and has slight undertones of green which we are loving right now!
First things first, the standard oval mirrors they typically put in these bathrooms had to go! We love this beveled mirror (linked below) which bounces just a bit more light around this small space and adds an elegant feel to the space.
The light fixture for sure what the next thing that had to go! They still wanted a very classic look so we went with this updated oil rubbed bronze double sconce (linked below).

We decided to switch out the faucet in this powder room as well which updates the space and adds a bit more dimension to the sink. We've linked up this faucet below for you. It's such a great line from Signature Hardware.

Originally there was a strange cabinet just stuck on the wall over the toilet for storage. We took that off the wall and replaced it with some open shelves. This serves the same purpose but gives the opportunity for decorative storage and opens up the space. We used dark shelves to coordinate with the fixtures but used brass brackets to mix metals up a bit which also brings in the metals from the other spaces on the main level.
For the accessories on the shelves we love to add a basket of sorts for toilet paper and other storage containers for various other items that may be needed. We like to add usable items like extra towels and hand lotion. It's nice to not only have them available for yourself but for guests as well.
We found the perfect rug for this space as well that coordinated beautifully with the wall color. The white in the rug is a nice brightner to the space and goes with the bathroom fixtures. We love the small touches to finish off the space here.
