Vibrant Courtyard | EH Design
This fun home owner in St. Paul was looking to brighten up her courtyard – and that we did! The pool house was originally built with vibrant colors in the tile and flooring and so the state in which the textiles were in 9 years later, no longer suited the the environment or the home owner. It was time for a change. All of the textiles were hand picked and custom upholstered.
Here are the tired chaise cushions before overhaul. These were originally upholstered as well.
Here are the teak dining room chairs prior to overhaul. We eventually had them refinished along with the dining table to give them a brand new look before putting on the new cushions. Teak can last forever if properly cared for.
Here are the tired old umbrellas prior to reupholstering them.
To brighten up the courtyard, we chose vibrant colors that we paired with strong deeper navy’s. We layered in textures to add dimension to the space as well.
The vibrant bright colors play well against the neutrals and bring out the colors in the flowers as well. Notice the layering of patterns which really make the colors pop.
A view of the pool and the wonderful chaise lounge chairs pool side that play so nicely off the blue tile in the pool.
Bold colors and patterns here against vibrant umbrellas – playing off the beautiful color in the flowers once again!
Pictured here is that wonderful teak dining set that we had refinished to it original beautiful glory! We added navy and cream reversible polka dot cushions to each chair which just adds to the beauty of the set.
The colors and textures really brighten up the entire courtyard and play beautifully off the amazing greenery backdrop of this mature landscape.
